I just watched a thing on Fox News about how Toyota's gas pedals stick in some of their cars and a family was killed, as well as others, as a result of it.
This happened to me years ago in my father's Ford Crown Victoria Stationwagon, as I was approaching an exit, but I didn't crash.
Put the car in neutral and turn it off, but not all the way so that it doesn't lock the steering wheel, and pump the brake and turn the car back on to see if the accelerator is still stuck. The engine will race when you put it in neutral, but that's better than the car racing.
